CaCC youth worship...We love God!
i borrow some bits from Jordan's Kings Kidz evangelism video because it went out of sync, thanks to HDV and a clitch in converting :)
It's just amazing how God works in our lives and gives us the strength and confident to do anything. Those kids just got up on stage and sang only finding out about 5mins before church and most of the guys in the worship band did not know the song, as they usually did Cambodian songs... but we all gave it go.
Then we studied the parable of the three talents which was very relevant and revealing in this case.

Following in the tradition of Te Atatu Bible Chapels youth, the event started about an hour after suggested time - although they actually come on time for bible study, just not activities :) ... having to bid time about 30mins or so mooching around, looking at home-made items and laughing ourselves in the convex/concave mirrors of distorted images, i decided to rest on the dracula ride.
I was having quite a fantastic time until a little blonde kicked me off. She put on such a scary face and was quite determine to get on the ride. My sister and friends just walked away as if they didn't know me :(

Life is beautiful
Life is great!
here's me mooching with my best friend - well in Australia :)

Black outs are also a marvellous time to get to know people. We had a black out during bible study when we were talking about the dandenong ranges, and the mysterious lady that appears with no arms... then we spent about an hour or so in pitch darkness discussing God, truths about life and the vision for our youth. In darkness brings the light.

The origins of caramaloo
Sometimes you wonder what inspired a song, or what the origins of a particular song is. One day as Russell was mooching in the garage playing on the laptop... this song came to him, and ever since that momentous occassion it has been quite a theme song...catchy, and something that we've sang along too. The version has change slightly and there have been many renditions.
press play for the original rendition of the Calamaloo song. Other renditions to follow including one from the love of my life.
Here are bits and pieces of my graduation that I extracted using the not-so-good belkin AVI adapter... it is presented in super bad internet quality for your viewing pleasures. Thanks to youtube.

stony point mysteries
Ever since grabbing hold of the melbourne train route map, I've had a fascination with a place called "stony point." Stony point is at the end of the frankston to stony point line, and unlike most of the train services in Melbourne, it runs on plain ol'diesel, pumping fumes into the air every now & then.
In my mind, stony point was a small colony, housing round about 500 or so ppl, but an attraction would be the coastline... in which mangroves dwelled for miles and there were several rocks to see on... something like te atatu peninsula on the side that sees the city.
One day (being yesterday) as I sat on my bed, I decided to take a drive to stony point and investigate it further. For what mysteries lied at the end of the train tracks. I've searched it many times in Google, and what was advertised as an attraction is the ferries, train station and mangroves. It sounded a bit mundane, but I really had to see what was at the end of the traintracks.
And here it was. Stony point. Population: a few mangroves, a docking bay. Population-2. Things to do: Leave.. either by boat or train. P.S. the red dress can be worn anywhere.
