Ägainst forgetting

I just came back from our Ägainst forgetting bi-lingual reading at the Australian Immigration Museum. it was quite interesting hearing ppl recite poetry in all these different languages. There were many ppl singing poetry in Hindi, and this woman did a passionate recital of a love poem in English, French and Italian. Very dramatic and nice to hear... especially French and Italian. ah! The romance languages. I read a poem in Cambodian and English. it was quite an experience using both tongues but it did incite some "ooohhhs" at the end, and lots of people telling me how beautiful it was. I actually only wrote it last Friday, and completed it on the train ride to the event, so i didn't really practice it much but it was OKAY in the end. Here you go:
Sorry i had to take off the video, because it was pulling my profile down... but here's the link to the video on YouTube

A day at the BBQ

Yesterday, I was invited along to this sponsorship party at the river room. It was nice. There was wine and macadamia chicken. melbourne city is so beautiful. The backdrop services as a beautiful background for any occassion.

The arts centre is equally beautiful. There's a chandelier that goes from the ceiling through 4 floors to the ground. It's all very magical.

Melbourne and the arts!
