the little red dress

I think everyone, including men, should own a little red dress. I was having a conversation with my friends the other day on how they would suit this particular one. Little red dresses symbolise a change in your life, where you are no longer a child frolicking through the field, but rather maturing and throwing away childish habits such as wanting icecream and lollies.

Here's my little red dress - however, I'm not sure I'll change my habits anytime soon. That'll have to wait to marriage, or maybe even longer. Frolicking will always be something carried through life

And just for fun.... here's a poem about a red dress by dorothy parker

The Red Dress

I always saw, I always said
If I were grown and free,
I'd have a gown of reddest red
As fine as you could see,

To wear out walking, sleek and slow,
Upon a Summer day,
And there'd be one to see me so
And flip the world away.

And he would be a gallant one,
With stars behind his eyes,
And hair like metal in the sun,
And lips too warm for lies.

I always saw us, gay and good,
High honored in the town.
Now I am grown to womanhood....
I have the silly gown.

beautiful photography

It's amazing how you can capture something and bring to the shot a sense of personality. The aroma, atmosphere, demeanour and a myriad of other things are included. Here's some example of some awesome pics that have been taken - & to make it more interesting, it was in one shot... no rendering or lightning. The eye is every watchful and imaginative and the lens is every manipulative... can make things out to look like something they're not

who knew a light house could be so beautiful when it's set in the mist of a city.

I'm not evil.. not at all :)

hmmm... what's that in the sky...

friendship never fails
it's beauty beyond comprehension

they exist in different forms and situations

and there are even unlikely ones which blossom
but friends stick together singing... random tunes that pop into their head
but oh woe! what is true love when love dies
the fragile flame that once lit that spark in our tired eyes.
the voice that could calm any pain and hurt
but is now the reason why your eyes flood with tears

there's no words to describe the sorrow
that a person can be so close but is now a distant call
oh well alas!let us drink and hope tomorrow will shine a brighter light.

Snoopy! our work mascot.
He is about 4inches tall, can twist his body completely around; wears the socceroos uniform yet insists on celebrating with the italian colours.

Cambodian Parties

Yesterday, I went to another 21st birthday party at a restaurant and as I sat there eating the well prepared food, with pretty carrot decorations I was hit with another stream of nostaglia. Ironically enough, every Cambodian party set at a restaurant has been patterned out the same. There's the greeting as you walk in, the greeting from friends of the family, searching for an suitable table and waiting 2 hours for the food to be served.

However, into my fourth dish, a man stopped us and did some introductions... and a slight change occured. Suddenly, everyone's head was down in prayer and for the next ten minutes, we were joining in the Lord's prayer - something quite different for receptions at restaurants. Anyway, I thought that's an excellent idea... to include God in everything, even celebrations and these ppl managed it well.

here's me looking happy under the flower arch. It was so beautiful!

what else are used for?

in the tradition of taking photos in NZ, point up to nothing and pose.

Pictures of my youth

When you are young, you want to old and responsible... leaning in on adult conversation and putting your opinion in everywhere it can be heard. Now when you're old, filled with responsibilities, you just want to run amok and roll around in mud. Well, something along those lines.. uh! Anywho, here are some pictures of my youth. Not at all flattering, but very cutsies mcgee.

The world has plummeted to a halt.

Argentina isn't going to win the soccer world cup after all. Oh woe!
ON the bright side, I still wear my favourite colour.

hoorah!

Speaking of which, my friend and I was looking at houses and we just laughed when we stumbled upon this deal. It was horrendously wrong in so many levels.

For the house you see above.. it was advertised on the market for $420, 000 plus - and it doesnt end there, even the kitchen, living area and bathroom was in complete shambles. Compare that it this house (below) which was also selling in the same area for $420,000 max - 3 bedrooms, ensuite, spa and plenty of land with a beautiful kitchen to top things off.

this view was free! :)
